How the practice works

Most clients arrive at one of a handful of moments: leaving a job and losing group coverage, going self-employed, aging onto Medicare, or opening a renewal notice with a premium that no longer makes sense. Each of those has a deadline attached, and the useful thing an advisor does is make sure you understand the options before it passes.

The practice is deliberately small. You speak with the same person each time, and that person remembers your situation.

How advisors are paid

Advisory services are provided at no direct cost to you. When you enroll in a plan, the insurance carrier pays a commission. Those commissions are set by the carriers and regulated by the state — the price of a given plan is the same whether you buy it through an advisor or on your own.
